‘Miss You’, a track that is rather self-explanatory, does more than just grip the soul. Here, Vickie pours out his heart, navigating carefully through the emotional turmoil that comes with missing an ex-lover.
From the very first note, Vicky captures his audience, immersing them in a world of pure melancholy. The melodious track sets the mood, evoking the nostalgic feelings that one gets when one’s cherished lover is no longer theirs.
Vicky does well in conveying his message; an expression of utter anguish and vulnerability that permeates right through the lyrics. He goes on and on about anything and everything he would do to make things right. He even uses some words that us ladies can smile to “…Na niongeze cash…”
‘Miss You’ is more than just a typical heartbreak song. It is a representation of the artist’s journey through heartache. The verses are more of a collective recollection of missed opportunities, shared moments, and pent-up feelings.
