Empree’s collaboration with Seif Will had been in the works for a while. Though the two hadn’t met before, Empree knew Seif would bring a fresh sound to his music. “We had been in contact for a minute, but never met.
I knew he would add new flavor to my sauce,” Empree says. The result was Ties Fulani, a track that blends personal experiences with Seif’s distinct production style.

For Empree, Ties Fulani marks a significant moment in his growth as an artist. The song is deeply personal, touching on relationships with friends and the complexities of navigating connections with people, even when things aren’t perfect.

“Ties is me talking about my friends, maybe some people we might not be on the best terms with, but I want people to feel free—you know, let that rage out,” he explains. The track is both a release and a message of self-expression.

Seif Will, known for his unique production style, brought a distinct vibe to Ties Fulani. The collaboration came together quickly, with the duo completing the song in just 10 minutes. “It was really easy,” Empree says, reflecting on the synergy they shared in the studio. Seif’s influence played a huge role in shaping the final sound, giving Ties Fulani its polished and dynamic feel.

One of the most exciting parts of creating Ties Fulani was the challenge of experimenting with new flows and cadences. Empree pushed himself creatively in the studio, and with Seif’s guidance, he was able to explore fresh ideas and directions.
“I tried new flows and cadences, and Seif came through for me,” he shares. These challenges helped shape the track into something memorable and personal.

As Empree continues to rise in the Kenyan music scene, he’s clear that  Ties Fulani is just one part of a larger story he’s telling through his music. “It’s a part of a story that I’m narrating to my fans.
The next page, of course, will be better—hakuna atazima,” he says, hinting at bigger and better things to come. Fans can expect more growth, experimentation, and powerful storytelling from Empree as he builds on the momentum of Ties Fulani.
