Prestablogs Celebrates 5 Years of Championing Kenyan Music

This April marks a major milestone for Prestablogs one of Kenya’s most dedicated music blogs, as it celebrates five years since publishing its first professional article.
Founder Presta started this journey in April 2020 on Opera News, writing on a borrowed laptop, and quickly gained traction with over 100K impressions —proving that passion and hustle could turn a side project into a movement.
After making waves on Opera News, Prestablogs partnered with Afrocharts (2021-2022) and Chonjo News (2022-2023) to amplify African music coverage. But in 2024, the brand went fully independent, launching its own Presta News Network (PNN) to take control of its vision.
Though a brief hiatus was taken in early 2025, the blog has officially resumed operations this anniversary month—stronger and more ambitious than ever.
Prestablogs has consistently spotlighted both emerging and established Kenyan artists from Arbantone pioneers to Afrohouse artists, metal bands, EDM/Oontz/DnB among many more .
With new Kenyan genres gaining global traction, Prestablogs remains hopeful about Kenya’s musical future. “We’re on the brink of something huge . The mission? To keep elevating Kenyan music —one blog at a time.
